Abstract:
An electric compressor wherein a lead wire on the motor drive circuit side can be reliably electrically connected to a sealed terminal. A sealed terminal is constructed from a terminal body consisting of electrically conductive metal and having at an end thereof a male thread section, and from a joint nut consisting of electrically conductive metal of a material different from the material of the terminal body and provided so as to be engageable with the male thread section of the terminal body.  The construction enables the joint nut of the different material from the terminal body to be firmly joined to the terminal body and a lead wire of the same material as the joint nut to be firmly joined by welding to the joint nut.  As a result, the lead wire on the drive circuit containing chamber side can be reliably electrically connected to the sealed terminal.
