Abstract:
A washing machine (2) is provided with: consumer electronics tags (201, 202) that are arranged alongside each other and that receive radio waves output from a portable terminal (1); operation units (241, 242, 243) that execute predetermined operations; a determination unit (231) that determines the state of communication between the portable terminal (1) and the consumer electronics tags (201, 202) on the basis of the radio wave reception result in the consumer electronics tags (201, 202); a command generation unit (236) that uses the determined state of communication to generate a control signal for causing an operation unit to execute an operation; and a system control unit (237) that causes the operation unit to execute the operation on the basis of the control signal generated by the command generation unit. The determination unit (231) determines a first to a third state of communication as the state of communication. The command generation unit (236) uses the respective state of communication, among the first to third states of communication, determined by the determination unit, and generates a control signal for causing the operation unit to execute the respective first to third operation.
