Abstract:
An electrode for electrochemical devices, said electrode suppressing decrease in the float characteristics, while increasing the capacity; and this electrochemical device comprises porous carbon particles, and in the pore distribution of the porous carbon particles, the ratio of the cumulative volume B of pores having a pore diameter of from 2 nm to 50 nm to the cumulative volume A of pores having a pore diameter of not less than 1 nm but less than 2 nm, namely B/A is from 1 to 1.5. The volume-based particle diameter frequency distribution of the porous carbon particles has a first peak and a second peak that is present on the larger diameter side than the first peak.
