Abstract:
Provided is an elevator derailment detection device which detects the derailment of a vertically movable body from a guide rail, the vertical movable body moving vertically while being guided by the guide rail. The elevator derailment detection device is configured comprising: an electrically conductive wire provided within a hoistway so as to be parallel to the direction in which the vertically movable body vertically moves; a magnetic field measurement device provided on the vertically movable body so as to be capable of measuring the intensity of a magnetic field generated by an electric current flowing through the electrically conductive wire, the magnetic field measurement device outputting the measured magnetic field intensity; and a control device for detecting the derailment of the vertically movable body from the guide rail when the magnetic field intensity outputted from the magnetic field measurement device is not within an allowable range.
