Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator device provided with a highly reliable safety device that operates safely on the basis of images from image sensors provided to a car. This elevator device is provided with: a car (1); an elevator control device (6) for controlling the operation of the car; image sensors (9a, 9b) provided to the car; and a safety control device (8) for instructing the elevator control device on operation control in the event of an abnormality or an emergency on the basis of images acquired by the image sensors. The safety control device assesses whether the images acquired by the image sensors match images of when a door is open that have been stored in advance, and permits the elevator control device to open the door if it is assessed that the images match.
