Abstract:
In order to stably operate a car in the absence of magnetic pole position signals from a magnetic pole position sensor, this elevator system comprises: a synchronous motor which drives the car; a brake; and a drive control device for the synchronous motor. The drive control device is provided with: a current command creation unit which creates a current command; a magnetic pole position command creation unit which creates a magnetic pole position command; an initial magnetic pole position estimation unit which estimates the initial magnetic pole position; and a brake control unit which controls the brake. When the brake is released, the current command creation unit creates a current command with a constant value, and the magnetic pole position command creation unit sets the initial magnetic pole position as a magnetic pole position command, holds the magnetic pole position command at the initial magnetic pole position over a predetermined time period from the release of the brake, and, after the predetermined time period, creates the magnetic pole position command so that the car is operated.
