Abstract:
[Problem] In an engine test device by means of which a wheel of a cart on which an engine is mounted is pressed against a rail and stopped, the wheel or rail is damaged when the wheel is pressed with great force. [Solution] The engine test device (1) performs an engine performance test by letting the cart (2) on which the engine is mounted travel on the rail (3) and conveying said cart (2) to the position of a dynamometer (4). The cart (2) is provided with: a frame (11) on which the engine is placed; casters (12-15) attached to the frame (11); and an affixing section (17) that positions and affixes the frame (11) on the rail. Each caster (12-15) is provided with a spring (19) that is compressed when the cart is affixed by the affixing section.
