In the present invention, it is estimated whether a cell nucleus in a stained image is in a specific state. This estimator learning device comprises: an image acquisition unit that acquires stained images obtained by photographing, using multiple wavebands, a biological specimen stained with a prescribed stain solution; a cell nucleus extraction unit that extracts a cell nucleus area contained in the biological substance specimen, from each of the stained images; a color information acquisition unit that calculates, from each of the stained images, the absorbance of each waveband in the cell nucleus area; and an estimator learning unit that studies an estimator that estimates, from the absorbance of each of the wavebands, whether the cell nucleus is in a specific state on the basis of the relationship between the absorbance of each of the wavebands and information that is associated with the biological substance specimen and that relates to whether the cell nucleus contained in the biological substance specimen is in a specific state.
