Title:
EXHAUST SCRUBBING DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/120680
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to suppress short circuiting of a case and a heat-releasing body, which releases heat by means of electrification, in an electrically heated exhaust scrubbing device. To solve the problem, a stacked body of an inner tube and a support member is disposed between the heat-releasing body, which releases heat by means of electrification, and the case that houses the heat-releasing body; the upstream side end of the inner tube is caused to extend to the upstream side from the upstream side end surface of the support member and the heat-releasing body; and the extending portion is provided with a protrusion that protrudes inwards in the radial direction. The flow of exhaust back-flowing after colliding with the heat-releasing body is obstructed by the protrusion. As a result, the back-flowing exhaust does not flow into the gap between the case and the inner tube. Thus, a reduction in insulating properties stemming from the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube, the upstream side end surface of the support member, and the inner peripheral surface of the case being covered by PM is suppressed.
