Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are an explosion-proof housing for use in an energy storage apparatus, and an energy storage apparatus. The explosion-proof housing comprises: a housing body, the housing body being provided with a through hole; and an explosion-proofing element, the explosion-proofing element comprising a center portion and a pressure venting portion surrounding the center portion. The pressure venting portion is of an annular shape, and is arranged inside the through hole and forms a sealed connection with the through hole. The pressure venting portion is configured to, when pressure inside the housing body reaches a first preset value, be able to produce a crack pattern in response to deformation of the housing body and to produce an open seam between the pressure venting portion and the housing body, and when pressure inside the housing body reaches a second preset value, to be able to separate from the housing body, the second preset value being greater than the first preset value.
