Abstract:
The present invention relates to a filling plant for handling bottles as required, comprising at least one bottle handling device (1; 190), a first supply line (35) which supplies a first bottle type (2, 3, 4, 5) and at least one further supply line (35) which provides a first further bottle type (2, 3, 4, 5), the first further bottle type (2, 3, 4, 5) differing in shape and/or size from the first bottle type (2, 3, 4, 5). In order to increase the flexibility, to reduce the inventory and nevertheless to meet the requirements for mass production, the filling plant also has a sorter (36) which is configured to remove bottles selectively and arbitrarily from each of the supply lines (35), to line up the bottles in a predetermined order on a forward section and to deliver them to the bottle handling device (1; 190) in the predetermined order. The predetermined order can be chosen freely. The invention also relates to a method for feeding bottles as required into a bottle handling device (1; 190) of a filling plant.
