Abstract:
A control unit diagnoses failure of a fuel storage unit and a processing unit. The fuel storage unit includes a vapor passage providing communication between a fuel tank and a hermetic sealing valve, a first pressure detecting unit, and a second pressure detecting unit disposed in a different position to the first pressure detecting unit. The processing unit includes a purge passage, a first open/close valve, and a pressure generating unit. The control unit identifies whether the vapor passage is blocked, using a first pressure value detected by the first pressure detecting unit and a second pressure value detected by the second pressure detecting unit when the pressure in the fuel tank is changed by means of the pressure generating unit with the hermetic sealing valve controlled to be open.
