Abstract:

Provided are a biological effect by a percutaneous injection of charged-particles and a functional cloth from which dust is removed and on which attachments such as, for example, animal hair do not attach. A functional product uses a functional fiber made by selectively dispersing semiconductor particles into a fiber and/or the crystal interface region or non-crystalline region of fiber polymer and having infrared and charged-particle radiation characteristics. In the functional product, a fiber having a large biological infrared and charged-particle radioactivity is created in such a way that: as a material of the semiconductor particles, a semiconductor having an activation energy level of 0.1 to 1.0 eV that is enough to generate charged-particles at about room temperature or a semiconductor having a forbidden band is used; and particles of the semiconductor are compounded into an insulating fiber matrix by 0.001 to 10 wt% and aligned into the fiber and/or on a fiber surface. The semiconductor particles penetrate into the spaces of a fiber polymer crystal and are connected in series in a pseudo fashion, so that the voltages between the particles generated by thermal excitation at about body temperature are accumulated and a large electromotive force is generated, thereby exerting a biological effect.
