Abstract:
Provided is a glass composition that contains the following components, indicated in mass%: 45 ≤ SiO2 ≤ 80, 10 ≤ B2O3 ≤ 40, 0.1 ≤ Al2O3 ≤ 20, 0.1 ≤ (MgO + CaO) ≤ 10, 0 ≤ (Li2O + Na2O + K2O) ≤ 5, and 0.1 ≤ T-SnO2 ≤ 2 (where T-SnO2 is the total tin oxide as SnO2), wherein 0 ≤ MgO/(MgO + CaO) ≤ 0.50 on a mass basis is established. The glass composition is suitable for the stable production of low-dielectric-constant glass fiber.
