Abstract:
A head unit and a recording device with the head unit. In the head unit, ink is contained in an ink cartridge and a valve is provided in an ink supply tube for supplying the ink from the ink cartridge to a recording head. When the recording head cancels a connection to the ink supply tube, the valve stops supply of the ink so that the ink remaining in the ink supply tube does not return to the ink cartridge. Even if the recording head is removed from a carriage by the user, ink does not return to the cartridge. Also, the carriage can be formed compact.
