Abstract:
An image coding method and apparatus. The method comprises: performing intra-frame prediction and data processing on the current unit to be coded, so as to obtain a processed data block; performing entropy coding on the data block to obtain a code stream, and writing the code stream into an SDRAM; reconstructing said current unit according to the data block, so as to obtain the current reconstructed block; and caching, in a high-speed storage unit, data in the current reconstructed block, which data is used for intra-frame prediction for a subsequent coding unit of the current frame. The solution in the present application can reduce an image coding bandwidth and increase an image compression speed.
