Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image display device. An image display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display panel; a backlight unit including a plurality of blocks composed of light sources; and a control unit, wherein the backlight unit includes a plurality of driving units each including a driver integrated circuit (IC) that controls the intensity of light emitted from the blocks, wherein each of the plurality of driving units includes: a main driving unit electrically connected to the control unit through a main cable; and a sub-driving unit electrically connected to the main driving unit through a sub-cable, wherein signals transmitted to the main driving unit through the main cable are transmitted to the sub-driving unit through the sub-cable, wherein the control unit outputs a first signal including a dimming value for each block corresponding to the intensity of light emitted from each of the plurality of blocks, a second signal corresponding to the main driving unit, and a third signal corresponding to the sub-driving unit through the main cable, wherein the main driving unit may determine a first dimming value corresponding to the main driving unit from the first signal on the basis of the second signal, and the sub-driving unit may determine a second dimming value corresponding to the sub-driving unit from the first signal on the basis of the third signal.
