Abstract:
Provided are an image processing device, an image processing method and program, and an image-capture device that assist in capturing images in which characters or text are laid out at a suitable position. The problem described above is solved by an image processing device comprising: a layout determination unit for determining a layout for characters or text in a subject image according to the meaning of the characters or text; an assistance information generation unit for generating image capture assistance information for assisting in determining picture composition when an image capture unit captures images; a synthesis unit for synthesizing the image capture assistance information with the subject image on the basis of the determined layout; and a display control unit for displaying the synthesized image on a display unit.
