Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a mechanism capable of reducing processing cost when employing an LM mode in scalable video coding. [Solution] Provided is an image processing device comprising a base layer prediction unit and an enhancement layer prediction unit. The base layer prediction unit acquires prediction mode information used for performing an intra prediction on a first prediction unit of a color difference component in the base layer of an image on which scalable video decoding is performed. When the prediction mode information acquired by the base layer prediction unit indicates a brightness-based color difference prediction mode, the enhancement layer prediction unit uses a coefficient calculated for the first prediction unit and generates, in the brightness-based color difference prediction mode, a prediction image of a second prediction unit of a color difference component in an enhancement layer, said color difference component corresponding to the first prediction unit.
