Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an image processing method for visualizing fine irregularities of a lower layer section covered by blood. [Solution] In the present invention, a raw image is converted to an RGB color space; filtering and monochromatic conversion are performed for each pixel of the image converted to the RGB color space to generate a gray plane; a color enhancement filter is used when the gray plane is generated; and only the luminance rate (Y1) of a region having a particular hue is increased. In addition, the raw image is converted to a YUV color space, a YCbCr color space, or a YPbPr color space. The luminance (Y) of the converted image and that of the gray plane are compared pixel-by-pixel, and the higher (brighter) one is used as a color image. The color image undergoes a sharpening process.
