Abstract:
Provided are: an interdental cleaning tool which has a simple configuration and is capable of effectively preventing the breakage of a core substrate section when inserted into an interdental area or cleaning the interdental area, without degrading the manufacturing productivity of the interdental cleaning tool; and a method of manufacturing the same. The interdental cleaning tool (1) is provided with a substrate part (10) including a synthetic resin and a flexible part (20) including an elastomer, wherein: the substrate part (10) has a handle substrate section (11) and a core substrate section (12); the flexible part (20) has at least a flexible cleaning section (21) which coats the core substrate section (12); a handle part (3) is formed as a handle on the handle substrate section (11), and a cleaning part (2) for interdental cleaning is configured from the core substrate section (12) and the flexible cleaning section (21). Two or more recessed cleaning sections (14), which pass through the flexible cleaning section (21) and respectively form core substrate recess sections (14) having maximum depth d of 0.01-0.085 mm inclusive in the core substrate section (12), are respectively formed at first and second side sections of a cleaning part (2) so as to be spaced apart from each other in the axial direction of the cleaning part (2).
