Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a technique which makes it possible to implement strategic inventory management that takes into account the profitability of each article, by calculating an inventory management cost matched to the actual situation, in consideration of item properties and cost-generating factors for each article. An inventory evaluating device according to the present invention holds relevance data in which combinations of generation-causing items that cause an inventory management cost item to be generated are defined for each cost item, and calculates the proportion of the inventory management cost to be borne, for each set of items having the same combination of generation-causing items (see figure 1).
