Abstract:
The present invention relates to a joint sleeve and an intermediate connection structure. The intermediate connection structure according to the present invention comprises: a compression sleeve for compressing and connecting conductors of a pair of power cables; a connection sleeve connected to insulating layers of the pair of power cables so as to cover the compression sleeve; and a joint sleeve, which is made from an elastic material, provided at the outer side of the connection sleeve and connected to the insulating layers and outer semi-conducting layers of the pair of power cables. The joint sleeve comprises: a first electrode provided on the outside of the connection sleeve and electrically connected to the conductors of the pair of power cables, and having a first end portion into which the end portion of a first power cable having a relatively small diameter is inserted, and a second end portion into which the end portion of a second power cable having a relatively large diameter is inserted; a pair of second electrodes spaced at a predetermined distance inside the joint sleeve so as to face each other; and a joint sleeve insulating layer connected to the insulating layers of the pair of power cables, and covering the first electrode, the second electrodes and the insulating layers of the pair of power cables while coming into contact with the same, wherein a distance (L1) from the center of the first end portion to the inner surface thereof is relatively shorter than a distance (L2) from the center of the second end portion to the inner surface thereof, and a distance (P1) from the surface of the insulating layer of the first power cable to the outer surface of the first electrode at the first end portion is relatively longer than a distance (P2) from the surface of the insulating layer of the second power cable to the outer surface of the first electrode at the second end portion.
