Abstract:
A method for operating an ice maker, the method comprising: directing liquid water to a mold of an ice maker. The method further comprises: on the basis of at least one of an ice making time, a harvesting electric motor torque and a temperature change rate, determining that at least part of the liquid water has escaped. The method further comprises: providing a user notification in response to determining that at least part of the liquid water has escaped.
