Abstract:
A light detecting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a first substrate having a first face serving as a light-receiving face and a second face opposing the first face, and having a light-receiving portion in which a plurality of pixels are arranged in an array to generate charge corresponding to an amount of received light for each pixel by photoelectric conversion; a second substrate disposed on the second face side of the first substrate and having a third face facing the second face and a fourth face opposing the third face, the second substrate having a wider band gap than the first substrate and further having a multiplying portion for each pixel for performing avalanche multiplication of the charge generated in the light-receiving portion; a first electrode provided on the first face of the first substrate and electrically connected to the light-receiving portion; and a second electrode provided on the fourth face of the second substrate and electrically connected to the multiplying portion.
