Abstract:
A liquid crystal display and displaying method thereof, capable of improving luminance of a reflective liquid crystal display, comprising: a light guide plate (11), a light source (12), a quantum dot dielectric layer (13), a first polarizer (14) and a high polarization conversion film (15). The quantum dot dielectric layer (13) is located between the light source (12) and the first polarizer (14), and the first polarizer (14) and the high polarization conversion film (15) are located between the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) and the light guide plate (11). A light ray emitted from the light source (12) radiates into the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) and stimulates the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) to emit light. Part of the light rays emitted from the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) pass through the high polarization conversion film (15) and the first polarizer (14), producing polarized light incident on the light guide plate (11), while another part of the light rays is reflected by the high polarization conversion film (15) to the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) and stimulates the quantum dot dielectric layer (13) to emit light again.
