Abstract:
An open/close mechanism capable of being engaged at a predetermined opening
degree, being easily released from the engagement in an opening direction, and
being gradually released from the engagement in a closing direction. The open/close
mechanism (1) has one support body (9) and the other support body (7) that are pivotally
arranged, projections (15) provided on the one support body (9), and recesses
(23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, 23F) provided in the other support body (7) and fitted
on the projections (15). When the one support body (9) and the other support body
(7) are at predetermined relative phases, a part of the projections (15) and of
the recesses (23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, 23F) are fitted to each other. Force required
to release the fitting between the projections (15) and the recesses (23A, 23B,
23C, 23D, 23E, 23F) by turning at least either the one support body (9) or the other
support body (7) is different between when it is turned in one direction and when
turned in the other direction.
