Abstract:

This magnetic bearing (10) comprises an electromagnet (11) which includes an electromagnet core (14) and coils (15), and also comprises permanent magnets (12a, 12b, 13a, 13b) which are mounted to the electromagnet core and which, together with the electromagnet, support without contact a rotating shaft portion (21) by means of a magnetic attraction force. The permanent magnets are arranged on the surfaces of the outer peripheries of a portion of the electromagnet core, the portion facing the rotating shaft portion.
