Abstract:
The present invention is a measurement method for the remaining quantity of liquid in a liquid storage container, the method comprising the steps of: discharging liquid in a liquid storage container to the outside through a suction pipe inserted into the liquid storage container; observing, by a vision device directed to a light-transmission portion of the suction pipe, the size or number of bubbles contained in liquid passing through the light-transmission portion; estimating the remaining quantity of liquid on the basis of the observed size and number of bubbles. In addition, the method further comprises a remaining quantity estimation step using returning ultrasound waves, and the remaining quantity estimation step using returning ultrasound waves comprises the steps of: oscillating ultrasound waves from an ultrasonic generator to the inside of the liquid storage container; receiving ultrasound waves returned after the oscillation and analyzing the waveform of the ultrasound waves; and estimating the remaining quantity of liquid by comparison of the waveform of the ultrasound waves with pre-provided reference data.
