Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method for controlling the lifting of a camera and an electronic device. The electronic device is equipped with a first camera, and the first camera is a liftable camera. The method comprises: the electronic device detecting a first operation for an icon of a third-party camera application; in response to the first operation, starting up the third-party camera application, raising the first camera, and starting up the first camera; displaying a viewfinder interface, the viewfinder interface comprising a preview image, which is an image collected by the first camera; detecting a second operation of the third-party camera application switching from the foreground to the background for running or turning off a screen; and in response to the second operation, retracting the first camera. In the present application, the electronic device may flexibly control the lifting of the camera. For example, when the third-party camera application switches to the background, the camera may be retracted.
