Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a method for manufacturing eco-friendly fabric for a drinking straw using wood; and an eco-friendly drinking straw. The objective of the present invention is to manufacture fabric for a drinking straw used in drinking beverages and the like, mainly using wood and paper, which are eco-friendly materials, thus improving environmental pollution problems and preventing the straw from easily swelling during use. To this end, the method for manufacturing eco-friendly fabric for a drinking straw using wood, according to the present invention, comprises: a layering step (S1) of manufacturing two-ply layered fabrics (100A) each by laminating, while heating, a veneer-outer sheet (110) made by cutting wood into like a thin slice, and a paper-inner sheet (120) consisting of pulp paper (123) having upper and lower surfaces treated with synthetic resin coatings (121, 122) to a thickness of 10-35 µm; a layered fabric joining step (S2) of joining the ends of the layered fabrics (100A) manufactured in the layering step (S1), which are in contact with each other in the longitudinal direction, wherein the veneer-outer sheets (110) are brought into contact with each other to face the same direction and the paper-inner sheets (120) are brought into contact with each other to face the same direction, and joint paper (130) having upper and lower surfaces treated with synthetic resin coatings (131) is patched onto contact portions between the paper-inner sheets (120), and heat-pressed to join the layered fabrics (100A) in the longitudinal direction while winding into a roll form; and a cutting step (S3) of, after the layered fabric joining step (S2), cutting the layered fabrics (100A) wound in a roll form, to have regular widths, thereby manufacturing fabrics (100) for a straw. In addition, the eco-friendly drinking straw using wood according to the present invention is formed by winding the eco-friendly fabric for a drinking straw using wood, which is manufactured by the method described above, into a spiral form having overlaps (140) by using a rotating rod (300) while heat-pressing the eco-friendly fabric, to thereby form an empty hollow pipe, and cutting the hollow pipe to regular lengths.
