Abstract:
The present application provides a method for preventing overheating of a backlight module and a display device. According to the method for preventing overheating of a backlight module, the driving current of each backlight partition in a backlight module is obtained, whether the brightness of each backlight partition in the backlight module exceeds reference brightness is determined, and the brightness of the backlight partition exceeding the reference brightness is adjusted to target brightness, so as to avoid the overheating of the backlight module caused by the long-time high-brightness operation of the backlight partition.
