Abstract:

The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a printed matter, wherein background stain is suppressed in lithographic printing. A method for producing a printed matter, which comprises a step for applying dampening water to a hydrophilic layer of a lithographic printing plate that has at least the hydrophilic layer and a heat sensitive layer, a step for applying an ink to the heat sensitive layer and a step for transferring the ink adhering to the heat sensitive layer to a print-receiving material, and wherein both the pH (A) of the ink and the pH (B) of the dampening water are from 1 to 6.5.
