Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing, inter alia, a method for searching for protein refolding conditions, the method making it possible to efficiently search for refolding conditions that yield excellent refolding results. In this embodiment: 1) a first refolding experiment is carried out under a first plurality of conditions and a first range is determined on the basis of the first plurality of conditions and results of the first refolding experiment, and a second refolding experiment is carried out under a second plurality of conditions and a second range is determined on the basis of the second plurality of conditions and results of the second refolding experiment; 2) a Gaussian process regression model is created using the first and second plurality of conditions and the results of the first and second refolding experiments as training data, expected values for a plurality of conditions to be calculated are calculated by the Gaussian process regression model, said expected values being established on the basis of the first and second ranges, and a prescribed number of conditions are determined from the plurality of conditions to be calculated on the basis of the expected values; 3) a refolding experiment is carried out under the prescribed number of conditions; and 4) steps 2) and 3) are repeated while adding the results of the refolding experiment under the prescribed number of conditions to the training data until the target experimental results are obtained, and conditions are determined from the prescribed number of conditions when the target experimental results are obtained.
