Abstract:
The present invention is a multilayer structured spun yarn (20) comprising a core component fiber (21) and a sheath component fiber (24), wherein: the core component fiber (21) is a multi-filament yarn; the sheath component fiber (24) comprises an inner layer fiber (22) and a surface layer fiber (23); the inner layer fiber (22) is untwisted; the surface layer fiber (23) is wound therearound in one direction binding the whole; and in the sheath component fiber (24), short fibers A having an average fiber length that is at least 10 mm and at most 25 mm and short fibers B having an average fiber length that is greater than 25 mm and at most 51 mm are blended. The multi-filament yarn of the core component fiber functions as a connecting yarn. Where the multilayer structured spun yarn (20) is defined as 100 mass%, the mixture ratio of the short fibers A is preferably 0.1-20 mass%. In this way, the present invention optimizes the yarn structure, even when fibers having short fiber lengths are included therein, thereby providing a multilayer structured spun yarn that has yarn physical properties and fabric physical properties that are not inferior to conventional products. The present invention also provides a production method for the yarn, and fabric and clothing using the yarn.
