Title:
MUTATED ISOPROPYLMALATE ISOMERASE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/078620
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It is intended to provide a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence which is derived from the amino acid sequence of isopropylmalate isomerase originating in a microorganism belonging to coryneform bacteria by deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids characterized in that a coryneform bacterium producing the polypeptide having the above amino acid sequence as a sole isopropylmalate isomerase exhibits a partial leucine requirement in the minimum medium; a DNA encoding the polypeptide; a recombinant DNA having the DNA; a microorganism transformed by the recombinant DNA; and a process for producing an L-amino acid with the use of the microorganism.
