Abstract:
 Provided is an optical element in which the penetration of light is uniformly reduced from a central portion toward a peripheral portion, the optical element comprising, on one surface of a transparent substrate, a light-absorbing section formed from a material that absorbs either part of or all of visible light, and having a thickness that uniformly increases from a central portion toward a peripheral portion, and a light-penetrating section formed from a material through which visible light penetrates and being layered on the light-absorbing section, and, on the other surface of the transparent substrate, a transparent resin layer that is formed from a material through which visible light penetrates. Therein, the light-absorbing section, the light-penetrating section and the transparent resin layer are all formed from a resin material.
