Abstract:
This optical signal processing device has an optical waveguide formed on a substrate, and the optical waveguide has at least one input port and at least one output port, and also a plurality of driven elements that include a phase shifter for applying a phase shift to the optical signals input from the input port. Each of the driven elements has at least two control terminals, has control wiring for applying time-division synchronized control signals between the two control terminals, and the control wiring for accessing the driven elements is shared by the plurality of driven elements. This optical signal processing device reduces electrical wiring in optical signal processing devices realized by using an optical waveguide, such as optical switches and optical filters.
