Abstract:
An optically active crystal transmittance measuring apparatus and method. The measuring apparatus comprises: a monochromator (200), a depolarizer (300), a controllable optically active device (400), a photoelectric detector (500), and a controller (600). The monochromator (200), the depolarizer (300), the controllable optically active device (400) and the photoelectric detector (500) are sequentially arranged along a light beam propagation direction; an optically active crystal to be measured is placed in a light path between the depolarizer (300) and the controllable optically active device (400); the monochromator (200) generates monochromatic light of a preset wavelength, and the monochromatic light passes through the depolarizer (300) and then irradiates said optically active crystal in an incompletely depolarized mode; said optically active crystal changes the polarization state of the incident incompletely depolarized light beam; the controllable optically active device (400) rotates the polarization state, and the photoelectric detector (500) samples the light beam undergoing the polarization state rotation to obtain a measurement light beam; in a sampling period of the photoelectric detector (500), the rotation angle by which the controllable optically active device (400) rotates the polarization state is N times 90°. By rotating the polarization state to achieve time domain depolarization, the measurement light beam is approximately depolarized completely, and the accuracy of the transmittance measurement for said optically active crystal is greatly improved.
