Abstract:
A paper-sheet conveying device (1) has an input/output part (2), a storage chamber (3), a conveying part (15), a calculation unit (51), and a correction unit (53). The input/output part (2) inputs and outputs a paper sheet. The storage chamber (3) is detachably attached to the input/output part and stores the paper sheet so that the paper sheet can be input/output. The conveying part (15) conveys the paper sheet on a conveying path (14) between the input/output part and the storage chamber on the basis of a set distance. The calculation unit (51) calculates a transit distance according to the transit time it takes the paper sheet to pass between a first position (X1) located on a front surface (3A) side of the storage chamber on the conveying path and a second position (X2) located on a rear surface (3B) side of the storage chamber on the conveying path. The correction unit (53) corrects the set distance on the basis of the difference between the transit distance calculated by the calculation unit and the set distance.
