Abstract:
The present embodiment provides a phosphor having an improved retention rate of light emitting intensity without reducing the light emitting intensity of the phosphor, and a light emitting device using said phosphor. The phosphor has a basic structure containing: at least one element selected from the group consisting of potassium, sodium, and calcium; at least one element selected from the group consisting of silicon and titanium; and fluorine. The phosphor is activated by manganese. In the infrared absorption spectrum of the phosphor, the intensity ratio of a peak between 3570-3610 cm-1 with respect to a peak between 1200-1240 cm-1 is 0.1 or less.
