Abstract:
This pneumatic tire is characterized by being provided with a rim guard protruding outward in a tire width direction in a side wall part of a tire, and in a cross section along the tire width direction when the tire is mounted to an application rim, filled to regulatory internal pressure, and kept in a loadless state, the rim guard has at least one vertex, an outer contour line of the rim guard, which is positioned farther outward in a radial direction of the tire than the vertex positioned farthest outward in the radial direction of the tire of the at least one vertex of the rim guard, has an arcuate shape having a center of curvature outside the tire, the curvature radius R of the outer contour line is 5-40 mm inclusive, and the distance H in the tire diameter direction from the vertex positioned the farthest inward in the tire diameter direction of the at least one vertex of the rim guard is 2-40 mm inclusive.
