Abstract:
The present invention enable a receiving side to obtain stable moving images. The present invention receives: image data of respective pictures of a basic layer in which mixing is performed only within the range of a prescribed window; and image data of respective pictures of an extended layer. Display image data is obtained by using, depending on the display capability, either only the image data of the respective pictures of the basic layer or both the image data of the respective pictures of the basic layer and the image data of the respective pictures of the extended layer. The present invention enables avoiding strobing deterioration in the prescribed window range in a layer with a basic frame frequency and further enables avoiding double display of what should normally be displayed clearly in other ranges.
