Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a refined methionine production method which can achieve an improvement in washing efficiency. This method is for producing refined methionine from a slurry of unrefined methionine, and comprises (1) a step for subjecting the slurry of unrefined methionine to solid-liquid separation using a continuous filtration device, (2) a step for spraying impure wash water onto an unrefined cake obtained by subjecting the slurry of unrefined methionine to solid-liquid separation and thereby washing the unrefined cake, and (3) a step for mixing, with pure wash water, a semi-refined cake obtained by washing the unrefined cake by spraying the impure wash water onto the unrefined cake, and thereby washing the semi-refined cake.
