Abstract:
A rivet (R) is provided with a sleeve (20) having a flange (25), and a core (10) inserted through the sleeve (20). A plurality of turning pieces (30) are linked to the tip of the sleeve (20) with thin hinges (28) respectively interposed therebetween. Inserting the core (10) through the sleeve (20) causes the turning pieces (30) to be pressed against the core (10) and turn outward, and secures a layered material (40) positioned between the flange (25) and the turning pieces (30). Protrusions (32) are provided to the base end faces (31) of the turning pieces (30), and a reverse part (16) protruding radially outward from the core (10) is provided in a peak part (15) of the core (10). The turning pieces (30) are secured by inserting the core (10) through the sleeve (20) and causing the reverse part (16) of the core (10) to surmount the protrusions (32) of the turning pieces (30) which have turned outward.
