Abstract:
This robot detects, through a sensor, a user's location and moving direction, and an object around the user; determines, in accordance with the detected user's location and moving direction, a foot area in front of the feet of the user; controls a lighting device mounted on the robot to shine light on the foot area while driving at least one pair of feet or wheels of the robot to cause the robot to travel along beside the user; identifies the type and location of the detected object; and, if the object is a dangerous object and is located in front of the user, controls the lighting device to shine light on a dangerous area including at least a portion of the dangerous object, in addition to shining light on the foot area.
