Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method of a rubber composition which can achieve both wet grip properties and low loss properties, and to provide a tire which achieves both wet grip properties and low loss properties. This rubber composition production method involves a kneading step for kneading a rubber composition which contains: a rubber component (A) that contains 20 mass% or more of modified SBR having a Tg of -50°C or less; 20-120 parts by mass of a silica-containing filler (C) per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component; a compound (D); a silane coupling agent (E); and a vulcanizing agent (F). The kneading step includes a first kneading stage for kneading together all or some of (A), (C) and (D), and 2 or more parts by mass of (E) per 100 parts by mass of (A), and a second kneading stage for kneading together the kneaded product prepared by kneading in the first kneading stage and (F). This tire uses the rubber composition obtained by said production method as a tread rubber.
