Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition which can improve wet grip properties of a tire and to provide a tire with improved wet grip properties. This rubber composition contains a rubber component (A), a thermoplastic resin (B), and a filler (C), and is characterized in that, per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A), the rubber component (A) includes 10-100 parts by mass of a modified styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -50°C or less, and in that the rubber composition includes 5-30 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin (B) per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A). The tire is characterized by using the aforementioned rubber composition in the tread rubber.
