Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a saddle-stitching folding device capable of preparing saddle-stitched folded booklets in which "toner cracking" and "swelling" do not occur at the fold. A creasing mechanism (2) is provided with a protruding section (21) for making a crease in a sheet (101) and a receiving section (22) for receiving the protruding section (21). The protruding section (21) is configured to be capable of moving between a creasing position in which the sheet (101) is pressed so as to make a crease in the sheet and a standby position, which is distanced from the sheet so as not to make a crease in the sheet (101). An input unit (6) is provided with a determining section with which an operator determines the sheets (101), among the sheets (101) conveyed from a conveyance mechanism, that are to be creased by the creasing mechanism (2) and the sheets (101), among the sheets (101) conveyed from the conveyance mechanism, that are not to be creased by the creasing mechanism (2), and transmits information on the determination to a control unit (5).
