Abstract:
A safety device (10) is a safety device (10) for a machine having an operating part (209) that processes or moves an article being operated on. The safety device is provided with a posture acquisition unit (201) that acquires posture data showing at least part of the posture of the lower half of an operator's body and a preliminary action determination unit (203) that determines that a preliminary action that leads to a dangerous action where at least part of the upper half of the operator's body approaches an operating area is occurring when a change in the posture shown by the posture data shows movement of the center of gravity of the operator's body toward separation from the operating area of the operating part (209) without moving the position of either foot.
